Tough Mudder

The Tough Mudder is coming to Silver Lake Park in Haymarket on June 1-2. Volunteers are needed to make the event a success.

The Tough Mudder Classic is 8-10 miles packed with more obstacles than ever before (25 to be exact). You’ll test your limits physically and mentally and cross the finish line stronger than you started, with your fellow Mudders by your side every step of the way.

Volunteers can head to toughmudder.com/volunteers and choose a shift and time. They can sign up anytime up until the weekend – although shifts do fill up fast for some roles. Full and half day shifts are available on both Saturday and Sunday (Sunday’s shifts start an hour later than the below) in various roles.

Check In – 6:00 a. m. – 1:30 p. m. – Volunteering on registration and checking all our awesome Mudders in when they arrive on site using Ipads.

Course – 6:00 a. m. – 6:00 p. m. – Volunteer out on course at an obstacle or water station. Bring your motivation and high fives to get Mudders through their challenge.

Mini Mudder – 6:00 a. m. – Volunteer on the kids course and help 5-12 year olds conquer the mini obstacles.

Finish line – 12:00 noon – 7:00 p. m. – Volunteer on the finish line handing out headbands and t-shirts to participants.

They have a short online training when they register and then they’ll be briefed onsite at the start of their shift. There will be a Volunteers Tent as part of the Mudder Village and they’ll meet there (and info pack will be sent out 10 days out from the weekend).

Each volunteer receives a code to run either the Classic or the 5k – or could gift to a friend/family member to run.
