Spook-Tacular Trivia Night in Occoquan!

On Friday, Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m., bring your “quaranteam” of up to six people and rent your 10-foot space in a socially-distanced picnic circle for a Spooktacular Trivia Night in the Park, hosted by the Town of Occoquan. Occoquan Mayor Earnie Porta will be the emcee that evening. If you come in a Halloween costume, your team will earn bonus points!

  • Tickets are $30 per circle (up to six people).
  • Dinner packages from The Ballywhack Shack are available for $15 per person, but MUST be pre-ordered.
  • Adult beverages will be available at the park that evening through Patriots for Disabled Divers.
  • One circle can accommodate up to six team members; one circle/registration per team.
  • Gate opens at 6:00 p.m.. Trivia begins at 6:30 p.m.. Walk-up participants are welcome to join in by paying the circle rental fees on the EventBrite app on their own phone.
  • There is no fee to simply watch the event.
  • GRAND PRIZE: $100 gift card to an Occoquan restaurant!

Good things to remember:

  • Bring camp chairs or blankets to make your circle in the grass more comfortable.
  • Outside food is permitted (no glass containers).
  • Space will be limited to adhere to current COVID-19 gathering restrictions.

The health and well-being of residents, patrons and businesses and local community is paramount. The Town of Occoquan will continue to closely monitor information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and local health and government authorities to guide decisions about Town events. Refunds for Trivia Night will be available if the event is canceled due to weather or COVID.

Occoquan Holiday Fest

Enjoy this festive season with a socially distanced celebration in historic Occoquan!

The Town of Occoquan and the Occoquan Merchant’s Guild present Occoquan HolidayFest, three weeks of in-person and online activities, Nov. 20 through Dec. 13. The festival will feature a virtual tree lighting, gingerbread house competition, trivia contest, holiday market, s’mores and cocoa event, raffle prizes, seasonal workshops and more. And don’t miss Santa coming into town on a fire engine during the final weekend!
