Art lessons are inspired by the artist, focusing on design principles vividly emphasized in their work. We will also examine the artist’s life and the impact of their creative voice in their community. Rudolph Carl Gorman was a Native American artist born in Chinle, Arizona. While his most recognizable works are lithographs, students will take inspiration from his art to introduce students to watercolors featuring simple figures and compelling landscape backgrounds.
