Virginia Women and Family Support Center announces the grand opening of StrongHer Generation, a thrift store dedicated to supporting its housing program. The store is located at 14019A Glenkirk Road, Gainesville, and is open 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
StrongHer Generation was conceived in response to funding challenges faced by the Center last year. The store represents an innovative solution to ensure sustainable support for women and children who rely on the Center’s stable, long-term housing services.
“When you shop at StrongHer Generation, you’re doing more than finding unique items—you’re helping provide safe, stable housing for women and children,” said Frances Robin, Executive Director of Virginia Women and Family Support Center. “Every purchase and donation helps to end homelessness for families and invests in a brighter future for the next generation.”
The store is currently accepting donations including:
● Furniture and household goods
● Clothing and accessories
● Kitchenware and appliances
● Home décor and linens
● Books and miscellaneous items
Community members can drop off donations at the store: 14019A Glenkirk Road, Gainesville.
