City of Manassas, VA . . . Fire Marshals from the City of Manassas Fire and Rescue Department are investigating a vehicle fire that occurred on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014.
Just before 2 a.m. fire and rescue units responded to a vehicle fire in the 9200 block of Taney Road in the Georgetown South community in the City of Manassas.
A Manassas City police officer on routine patrol discovered a 2006 Lexus LS burning and was able to use a fire extinguisher to keep the fire from spreading to adjacent vehicles. An investigation determined that the fire was deliberately ignited. The value of the car is estimated to be $20,000 and is a total loss.
