A special first-time collaboration, commissioned by the Friends of Franklin Park Arts Center for the kickoff of their Gold Star series. “Melodies in Motion” includes Aaron Copland’s “Appalachian Spring”, played by members of the LSO, Selections from “Carnival of the Animals” and “Clair de Lune” performed by Virginia National Ballet with live music from members of the LSO, and Virginia National Ballet performing excerpts from “Cinderella.”
