Manassas Museum is gearing up for their Annual Manassas History Weekend on Aug. 25 and 26.  Volunteers are needed at both the museum in Old Town and at Liberia Plantation.  Duties include handing out information and helping with children’s activities.  There are two shifts – 9:00 a. m.-1:00 p. m. and 1:00 p. m.-5:00 p. m. both days.  Please call Doug at (703) 257-8265 to learn more. CareNet invites all to the next family movie night on July 29 from 4:30-7:00 p. m. at the First Manassas Baptist Church in Woodbridge. It is the showing of “I Can Only Imagine” and inspiring film for the whole family. A love offering will be collected if interested.

K9s Serving Vets is gearing up for the Annual Raffle and Auction on Saturday, Aug. 4 from 4:00-8:00 p. m. at Bungalow Alehouse in Woodbridge.  Come out and meet the service dog teams and bid on amazing auctions items including getaways, dinners, grills and other cool stuff. Saved Hands Foundation is looking for a volunteer to help others write their resumes and distribute school supplies at their 5th Annual Back Pack giveaway on Saturday. Aug. 11, 12:00 noon-3:00 p. m.  Please call (571) 572-9013 to learn more about these opportunities.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is looking for volunteers age 55+ to deliver noon meals through the Meals on Wheels Program. CASA Children’s Intervention Services needs volunteer advocates to help protect abused and neglected children in our community. Mark your calendars for Saturday, Aug. 25 for the 3rd Annual Farm to Table event to support the Prince William Environmental Excellence Foundation at Windy Knoll Farm. The Manassas Senior Center is looking for a volunteer to teach crafts to the members of the center each week.  Come share your love of knitting, crocheting, painting, ceramics and such with others.
