Dulles Luxury Coach and community leader Eugene Brown have announced a strategic partnership to explore transportation options aimed at improving connectivity throughout Western Prince William County. The effort will look at transportation needs affecting residents, students, workers, visitors, businesses, and community organizations as the western part of the county continues to grow.

The partnership is in the exploratory stage. No new transportation service or route has been announced.

Looking at Transportation Gaps

Dulles Luxury Coach and Brown plan to examine mobility needs connected with education, housing, workforce development, healthcare, tourism, and economic development. Initial attention will include growing activity centers along and near the Prince William Parkway corridor, including George Mason University’s Science and Technology Campus, the Innovation District, Washington Manassas Regional Airport, and nearby residential and commercial areas.

The partners said the goal is to evaluate whether a scalable, community-focused transportation model could help connect destinations that may currently be difficult to reach. Any future model would be intended to complement existing transportation providers rather than replace them.

Assessing What a Future Service Would Require

Dulles Luxury Coach will provide transportation and operational expertise as the partnership considers what would be necessary to develop a future mobility company. That assessment is expected to include fleet needs, staffing, technology, infrastructure, and service requirements. The partners will also consider ways transportation could better connect residential communities with employers, schools, healthcare providers, tourism destinations, and other activity centers.

“We are excited to explore opportunities that support the continued growth of Prince William County,” said Rick Sandstrom, chief executive officer of Dulles Luxury Coach. “Strong transportation networks help communities thrive, and we look forward to working with local partners to identify solutions that improve access and connectivity.”

Erik Rivera, director of operations for Dulles Luxury Coach, said community input will be an important part of the process.

“Transportation is most effective when it responds to the needs of the communities it serves,” Rivera said. “We welcome the opportunity to engage directly with stakeholders, understand where transportation gaps exist, and explore practical mobility options that can better connect residents, students, workers, and visitors throughout the region.”

Connecting Growth With Mobility

Brown said transportation needs should remain part of the larger discussion as Western Prince William continues to develop. “Western Prince William County is experiencing remarkable growth, and mobility plays a critical role in ensuring residents, businesses, and institutions remain connected to opportunity,” Brown said. “This partnership allows us to explore practical, community-centered transportation solutions that support economic development, strengthen quality of life, and create meaningful connections throughout our community.”

Community Outreach Comes Next

The initial phase will include outreach to educational institutions, community organizations, existing transportation providers, businesses, healthcare organizations, and local governments. Those discussions are expected to focus on identifying transportation challenges, gathering community input, and evaluating potential partnerships and service concepts.

The partners said the initiative is intended as a first step toward considering longer-term transportation strategies that could improve access to employment, education, healthcare, tourism, and other destinations throughout Western Prince William County.
