Novant Health UVA Health System proudly presents What’s Up, Doc? This is an all-female panel discussion and Q&A with six local experts about women’s healthcare needs.

The Panel

Heidi D. Rafferty, M.D.
Breast Surgeon Dr. Rafferty specializes in comprehensive breast health management, treatment of and lifetime follow- up for breast cancer patients, management of high-risk breast tissue and genetic testing.

Jennifer N. An, M.D.
Obstetrics/Gynecology Specialist Dr. An enjoys caring for and supporting women in their healthcare needs at all stages of life. She has particular interest in obstetrics, family planning and bleeding problems.

Karyn L. O’Brien, Psy.D.
Clinical Psychologist and Novant Health UVA Health System Senior Director for Behavioral Health and Diversity and Inclusion Dr. O’Brien believes that a trusted behavioral health specialist can be an essential addition to a woman’s care team.

Janet L. Breslin, FNP-BC
Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner Janet Breslin focuses on women’s health, adolescents and diabetes. She looks not only at treatment of the disease but also prevention and overall patient wellness.

Aysha Arshad, M.D., FACC, FHRS, FAHA
Novant Health UVA Health System Prince William Medical Center Electrophysiology Lab Director Dr. Arshad is passionate about women’s heart health and helps treat the unique heart health needs of area women.

Rabia Arshad, M.D., FACC
Non-invasive Cardiologist Dr. Arshad’s specific field of interest is in cardiac imaging. She believes that preventative care is essential to early detection of heart disease, which is the number one killer of women.
