If you’re anything like me, you’re always ready to eat. And if your stomach is growling as you read this; then run, don’t walk to the MetroCooking Show -DC on November 8-9, 2014 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.  This event is only a hop, skip and jump away from Prince William and even quicker by Metro. Headlining the event is restaurateur and Iron Chef Bobby Flay of Bobby’s Burgers (at Potomac Mills) and Food Network favorite Guy Fieri.

Attendees of the show can expect live cooking demonstrations from local and regional chefs all honored as James Beard Foundation winners, nominees or as guest chefs at The James Beard House, will cook on the Beard Foundation Stage.

Additionally chefs from L’Academeie de Cuisine will lead cooking classes and more than 40 restaurants will offer signature tastes the Grand Tasting Pavilion, sponsored by the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington.

The event will not only include ongoing tastings, but also entertaining workshops such as knife skills, holiday entertaining and a beer, wine and spirit pavilion will be available with local mixologists. Over 300 specialty food exhibitors will showcase products – all for sale.

General admission tickets are $20; celebrity theater performances, cooking classes and Grand Tasting Pavilion are ticketed events and sold separately. Visit metrocookingdc.com to learn more about the celebrity book signings and VIP meet-and-greet.
