VRLTA Announces Winners of 2021 Ordinary Awards,
Celebrating the Best of the Hospitality and Tourism Industry.
Monday night, the Virginia Restaurant Lodging and Travel Association (VRLTA) celebrated the best of the hospitality and tourism industry during their 2021 Ordinary Awards presentation and dinner at the Omni Richmond Hotel. Winners for the sixth annual event were announced to an audience of 220 industry peers and leaders from across the state.
Homewood Suites Woodbridge was named the Hospitality Hero-Business for 2021.
“We are super excited and honored to be awarded the Hospitality Hero Ordinary Award from VRLTA!” said Chelsie Bryant, of Homewood Suites Woodbridge. “Our team, like so many others in our industry, has worked SO hard during this difficult time of the pandemic. We could never have imagined the difficulties we faced and I am SO proud to say that we have many team members still that have been with us since our opening day in 2015, which is not often heard of. We are a family, we treat our guests as family, and every single one of us truly embodies what hospitality really is! ”
Awards are given each year in recognition of Virginia’s restaurants, hotels, lodging establishments, Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs), attractions, and more. Nominations are open to members of the Association and non-members, and nominees are judged by a group of VRLTA members and industry professionals.
