Can You Survive the Horde?
As part of its “31 Nights of Frights,” the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA invites visitors to its terrifying, spine-chilling Haunted Trail Oct. 24-Nov. 1. During an exclusive event for six hair-raising nights only, visitors can walk the Haunted Trail with friends and family. Visitors will experience the macabre outdoor scenes in the lesser traveled areas of the historic prison campus and enjoy special effects, live scare actors and a nightmarish, immersive storyline about a growing horde of infected drones.
In fact, you may want to know . . . strange things are already happening in Lorton, VA. One by one, citizens are succumbing to an unidentified infection that mutates them into empty drones. These drones have only one purpose: to convert more and more humans to a growing horde. Self-appointed militias are assigning uninfected persons to safe zones until the situation can be contained. Safe passage is not guaranteed.
The fainthearted, and children and families can attend the daytime tours for a less frightening but still eerie experience. Before dark, guests can walk the Haunted Trail with a guide narrating the story of the horde without any scare actors present.
Admission to the evening trail is $10 per person; daytime/family tours are $5 per person. All proceeds go to support the Workhouse Arts Center programs. The paved, outdoor trail takes 30 minutes to complete and may not be appropriate for everyone. This event will be scary and is recommended for ages 13 and older.
The trail will be open for six nights only:
Friday, October 24, 7-10pm
Saturday, October 25, 7-10pm
Wednesday, October 29, 7-10pm
Thursday, October 30, 7-10pm
Friday, October 31, 7-10pm
Saturday, November 1, 7-10pm
