Dumfries-based Young Marines has announced two appointments to its leadership. Decorated Veteran Major General (MG) William J. Walker, USA Retired, has been appointed Advisor for Drug Demand Reduction Efforts and Education by the Young Marines Board of Directors. And Howard Snow has been voted Vice Chair of the Young Marines Board of Directors.

Walker
General Walker served as a Special Agent of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for over 30 years and retired as a career member of the Senior Executive Service. Well known in the Washington, D.C. military and Senior Executive Service, MG Walker served as the 23rd Commanding General of the District of Columbia National Guard.

Snow
Snow is a retired Marine Corps officer and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy. He has more than 42 years of military, business, and federal government experience. Well known in the Washington, D.C. area, Snow currently acts as a Business to Government consultant and moderates contracting forums. He is also a Fellow at George Mason University’s Center for Infrastructure Protection and Homeland Security and writes on national and international business opportunities.
