Zandra’s Taqueria, the casual dining “taco” spot in Old Town Manassas, Va. collected a total of 50 sweaters, coats, scarves, blankets, and shoes for SERVE, the local community shelter of Northern Virginia Family Service, during the Manassas Christmas parade.  Each person who donated an item received a voucher for a free taco from Zandra’s Taqueria. “We are thankful for those that donated clothing,” said Miguel Pires, owner of Zandra’s Taqueria. “This is the second year for the Warm Up the Community drive and we are glad to pitch in to keep the community warm this holiday season,” said Pires.   For more information on Zandra’s Taqueria, see

Zandra’s Taqueria of Old Town Manassas, Va. was established in 2014 and is owned by local restauranteur and young entrepreneur Miguel Pires of Manassas, Va. PWL  The contemporary American taqueria offers handcrafted gourmet tacos.  One taco favorite is the Chorizo & Egg taco with spicy, flavor-filled chorizo that is topped with an egg over easy, ranch dressing, and pico de gallo.  The Greek taco is a fan favorite, with lamb and homemade taztziki sauce with shredded romaine lettuce, pico de gallo, and feta.

Pires, age 32, grew up in a family-owned and operated restaurant business and is part of the history of the long-established Carmello’s and Monza of Manassas, Va.  As the General Manager for 10 years and entrepreneur, Pires wanted to continue to expand the culinary experience in Old Town Manassas and open Zandra’s Taqueria.  For more information, go, visit us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, or call 571-359-6767.
