The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation will screen the film D-Day: Normandy 1944 at the National Museum of the Marine Corps’ Medal of Honor Theater. Screenings will be held from Nov. 11 to 16 at 3:00 p.m. daily. These special showings commemorate this year as the 75th Anniversary of one of the world’s most historic and consequential military operations.
D-Day: Normandy 1944 blends multiple cinematographic techniques, including animation, CGI and stunning live-action images to bring this monumental event to life. A family friendly film, D-Day educates and inspires audiences of all ages, giving younger generations insight into the sacrifices of the ‘greatest generation.’ The film, with narration by Tom Brokaw, explores the history, military strategy, science, technology and human values that together paint a vivid picture of D-Day.
